This guide shows how to prepare a Nets Cloud terminal so it can communicate with POS365. By completing these steps, you ensure that the terminal is correctly configured and ready to process payments through the POS system.
Step 1:
Find the terminal ID by opening the parameter menu, navigating to the function settings, and locating the terminal identification used for the POS365 setup.
For more information, see here:
Find the terminal ID
1) Swipe the merchant card
2) Select '6 (Parameters)'
3) Select '1 (Change)'
4) Select '1 (Function)'
5) Save the 'Terminal ID' for later use in the Admin Center
Note:
The 'Terminal ID' is required when completing the setup in the Admin Center.
Step 2:
Configure the terminal communication by opening the communication menu, setting the connection type to Ethernet, and enabling DHCP so the terminal can receive a network IP address automatically.
For more information, see here:
Configure the communication settings
Step 1:
1) Select 'Stop' (Red button)
2) Select '2 (Communication)'
3) Press 'Komm. Type'
4) Set 'Type' to 'Ethernet'
Step 2:
1) Use the 'F2' button to navigate to 'DHCP'
2) Set 'DHCP' to 'ON'
3) Select 'Stop' (Red button)
Note:
Setting 'DHCP' to 'ON' allows the terminal to receive an IP address automatically from the network. The POS computer and the terminal must be on the same network for the setup to work correctly.
Step 3:
Restart the terminal and confirm that the ECR connection indicator is green to verify that the terminal is ready to communicate with POS365.
For more information, see here:
Restart the terminal and verify the connection
1) Restart the terminal
2) Wait until the terminal has fully started
3) Verify that the 'ECR' icon is green
Note:
A green 'ECR' icon indicates that the terminal is ready to communicate with POS365. If you are reusing a Nets Baxi terminal, prepare it for Nets Cloud before continuing.
